Why ExactKB instead of a normal compressor?
Ordinary compressors shrink your image to some smaller size and let you retry until it fits. ExactKB targets the requirement itself: max-only limits ("under 240 KB"), windows ("20–50 KB"), exact pixel dimensions (600×600), and even minimum sizes — some government forms reject files for being too small, and ExactKB pads them into range with valid JPEG metadata.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. ExactKB runs entirely in your browser using its built-in image engine. Nothing ever leaves your device — this page works even offline.
The form wants a minimum size too (e.g. "20–50 KB"). Can you handle that?
Yes — that's ExactKB's specialty. If your file compresses below the minimum, ExactKB grows it back into the window using valid JPEG metadata so the portal accepts it.
Are the country presets guaranteed to be current?
Presets reflect each portal's commonly published spec, but governments change requirements — always verify the numbers against the latest official notification, which every preset points to in its note.
Which output format should I choose?
JPG is accepted everywhere and is the default. WebP is 20–30% smaller at the same quality — great for the web, but some older portals reject it. PNG is lossless and best for graphics, screenshots and text.
