How it works for a single Claude Code session

1. Run Claude Code as usual.
2. The trim hook shortens tool output and spools long results to disk.
3. The summarise hook compacts earlier conversation (the “compaction window”). This step is only available in the full install.
4. Open the local dashboard to see token usage, replay the session, and watch the daily‑budget guard warn you before you hit limits.
