What it fixes
- Shadows and uneven lighting โ the gray gradient your phone casts across every page.
- Yellowed or aged paper โ old documents come back to white.
- Stains, smudges and background noise โ faded into the background while ink stays dark.
- Faded, low-contrast text โ stretched back to crisp dark-on-white and sharpened.
What it will never do โ on purpose
Document Cleaner never invents content. If a corner is torn away or a word is truly gone, it stays gone โ this tool enhances what your camera captured, it doesn't guess at what's missing. That's a deliberate guarantee: every character in the output is authentically from your original, which matters when the document is a certificate, a contract, or evidence. AI tools that "reconstruct" missing text can hallucinate plausible-looking but wrong content; for real documents, that's worse than a gap.
Private by construction
Like every ExactKB tool, cleaning happens entirely in your browser. Your certificates, IDs, contracts and letters are never uploaded to any server โ load the page, turn off the internet, and it still works.
FAQ
Can it fix blurry photos?
It sharpens soft text noticeably, but heavy motion blur can't be honestly reversed. Retake the photo if you can โ steady the phone against something, and use natural light from a window.
Which mode should I use?
Clean (grayscale) is right for almost everything. Black & white is best for text-only pages you'll print or fax. Color keeps stamps, seals and signatures in ink color while still removing shadows and tint.
Can I also make it fit an upload limit?
Yes โ enter the KB limit and the cleaned document is fitted to it, using the same exact-size engine as the main compressor.
